I have a job, don’t start school until Nov. I already planted my garden, super cleaned my house, and failed at painting. I don’t have a lot of money. scrapbooking is too expensive. I read 10 mins. every night before bed so that can’t be my hobby. I don’t have anything interesting to write about. Facebook creeping is getting old. Video games give me a headache. I can’t run, nor do I want to-the same goes for riding a bike. I tried cooking and burned everything I made. I love crafts but have no money. I don’t like going lots of places by myself. I’m driving myself nuts sitting here by myself all day!!!!!!

You might think jewelry making is an expensive hobby–and it certainly can be–but you can make beads out of junk mail. The insides of security envelopes cut into small triangles and rolled tightly, then sealed with glue, are really pretty. You could use other kinds of colorful paper, as well. Or plain old black and white print. You can even vary the size and shape of the bead with the same technique. Another thing you can do with your junk mail is to make paper. You’ll need a minimal amount of cash (a couple of bucks) to buy an embroidery hoop at a craft store. Tightly stretch an old piece of cloth (sheer curtain material is ideal–something kind of screenlike, not too tightly woven, not too absorbent) across the hoop and fasten the little screw on the side. Use your blender to make a slurry from paper and water. Pour the slurry on the stretched fabric, let it sit until the excess water has drained out, then gently press your wet paper with a towel or paper towel and carefully turn it upside down onto the towel so it can dry flat. Experiment with different kinds and colors of junk mail. Add flowers and leaves or swirl in some food coloring or watercolor paints if you want to spiff it up.

Ok, so I’m not into math and science so all those majors can be thrown out. I applied as a Radio/Television/Film major but now I am having second thoughts based on the extreme nature of gaining a reputation and whatnot….

I like crafts (scrapbooking, puff-painting,etc), animals, television, children, meeting people (however I am not super outgoing but not shy either), volunteering (I’m in Key Club, Interact Club, Invisible Children Club at school), art, baking, nonfiction/history reading, being creative, going on bike rides, watching movies, ….

I would prefer a career thats not an office job and one that I could come back to after say I have a family and stuff….quite a few years from now

Those all sound fantastic but I just can’t picture myself as any of them right now…… I used to want to be a teacher or zoo keeper but who knows….

I don’t understand. Of course you want something. In the middle of the summer you get pissed off because your parents refuse to buy something for you. Then ask for it for Christmas! Aye aye aye.

And if you honestly don’t want anything, go buy stuff for the homeless, or work in a soup kitchen, or go read/tutor poor kids or something like that. I’ve done those kind of things, and believe me, the feeling is better than any feeling you get when recieving a gift.

-uggs. uggs are soft goodness. or you can go to target with your giftcard and get some good looking fuggs. they are just as good but the fur goes away after like the 2nd time you wear them. real uggs have softness FOREVER. this is a good thing. unless you live in arizona.
-a puppy. puppies are goodness.
-a mardi gras mask. why not?
-abba greatest hits cd.
-a purse and wallet to carry all of your giftcards.
-puffs kleenex with vicks. heaven when you have a runny nose.
-starbucks gift cards. because its too expensive to go out and buy with your own money.

-a car! yay! A nice little used one. or, if your parents are rich, an environment efficient hybrid.
-donations to charities in your name.
-a brand new super cool cell phone. (recycle your old one, but make sure to get your contacts first, haha)
-a giant stuffed bear/tiger/duck/panda/cat/gopher/mickey mouse/dog/bunny. because you know you’ve always secretly wanted one.
-mall giftcards. clothes are good.
-scrapbooking kit. because scrapbooking is fun. admit it.
-brand new school supplies. why do we have to only get them in the beginning of the school year? enjoy the newness of your school supplies.
-temporary tattoos. because those are AWESOME.
-hot wheels race track sets. the kind where the monster eats you in the middle. very definition of AWESOMENESS.

My husband and I are seperated and I have been trying to live my own life and meet new people. I have been living next to this girl for over a year now. On Memorial Day weekend, we were both home. She happened to be laying out in the sun, and I grabbed my towel to go hang out. We started talking and had a ton in common! We even talked about taking a scrapbooking class together and she gave me her phone # to get together to hang out. I just called her Saturday, and it is Thursday and she hasn’t called me back. I know she is super busy – she works, goes to school, etc. She is hardly ever home, which is why for an entire year we barely saw each other! She seemed really genuine – especially because she offered her number, not the other way around. Should I call her again? Maybe she never received the voicemail? And if so, how long should I wait? I don’t want to pester her.

If u know her to be really busy give her a lil more time to call. Don’t think about it. Then if u haven’t received a call in another week or so try again. I wouldn’t try again after that. I’d wait for another chance meeting and try to vibe out whether she was sincere or not.

hey!! im 18 and my mom is having her second baby due on12-9-10!! we afre all super excited about this event! and i wanna plan a great baby shower and make a baby book by scrapbooking.that way its personal and from the heart.I found a great party set on babyshowerstuff.com but i cant find anything about food or party favors.and i need ALOT if ideas for the baby book.please help! thanks so very much!

Do you have a theme yet? If you make your own food and the party is around tea time, you don’t need to make anything complicated, just make some simple finger food, chicken/tuna wrap, salad, fruit punch and a cake.
