My house is boring… what should I do?

Okayy! So for my birthday i want it to be fun but i don’t have ANYTHING .. my birthday is in June… so that would be summer and i don’t have a pool or ANYTHING fun! I don’t have an X-Box 360 any more because my brother took it to his house an he lives very far away.. so i do not have video games an ipod or a pool or ANYTHING fun to do and i am older now and i hat playing stupid games like Twister or scrapbooking.. Alsoo i dont have a camera to take pictures i have nothing… my house is just super boring! Every single time a friend comes over, we have absoloutley nothing to do…. but then when i go over to my friends house it’s always fun..and i can’t figure out why? And the only electronic thing i have is a cell phone and a tiny little t.v. and i prank called before but that gets old because i do it all the time … ? any help (ALL ANSWERS ARE APPRECIATED)
I have a computer but i go on it all the time soo… it gets boring like right now!! =[

Honestly, just get some food from the convience store, cook up some appetizers if you can cook. If your of age, buy some booze, if not pick up some pop. Call up some friends, and your good to go. Trust me you don’t need video games to have a good time, all you need is 1) Good friends 2) Food 3) Beverages, and your good to go. I’ll give you an example of an amazing time me and the guys had. We had a cottage party, well sorta, we were at my Dad’s place for the weekend, and we didnt want to wake him, so we took some chips, and booze, and went down to the boathouse. We put on some music, brought out the fishing rods and had a good time. By the time 2am came around we were roasted, and decided to walk 2km in the dark into town, we made it half way then came back, all in all a good time

How do I advertise my digital scrapbooking services?

I am talented at creating digital scrapbooking pages. Friends and family have suggested that I should sell my work. I am fairly certain that there is a need out there for this sort of service because many people do not have the time/inclination to scrapbook but would like a finished photo album of their memories.

I was wondering how I should go about advertising my services beyond word of mouth. I was thinking about creating a webpage but I don’t know how to promote it. I was thinking about creating flyers in my neighbourhood. I am not sure what else I could do. Any suggestions?

Good questions, I have a scrapbook business and I am always trying new ways to advertise.

My first suggestion is networking word of mouth is the best advertisement because it is a testimonial of your great work and people are more receptive if they know someone that recommended you.

A website is the business card of the new Millennium and a great way to display your work, you can find some web page sites that have a easy to use templates to help you set your site up http://www.homestead.com . Another option is to start a blog which is free and a great way to share your work and promote yourself http://www.blogger.com .

Another good tool is the old classic business card and flyer’s. I carry them around and give them to anyone I meet Vista print offers free business cards and great templates http://www.vistaprint.com .

My latest advertisement idea is a monthly newsletter featuring new products, events, product specials, and other scrapbook information I believe is worth sharing.http://scrapbookmemorias.blogspot.com

Try www.cricut-central.com. They have Expression machines with 2 cartridges for $265. They also seem to have good prices on other cricut supplies too… cheaper than Walmart even with shipping (no tax either!!). Hope this helps.

I have a job, don’t start school until Nov. I already planted my garden, super cleaned my house, and failed at painting. I don’t have a lot of money. scrapbooking is too expensive. I read 10 mins. every night before bed so that can’t be my hobby. I don’t have anything interesting to write about. Facebook creeping is getting old. Video games give me a headache. I can’t run, nor do I want to-the same goes for riding a bike. I tried cooking and burned everything I made. I love crafts but have no money. I don’t like going lots of places by myself. I’m driving myself nuts sitting here by myself all day!!!!!!

You might think jewelry making is an expensive hobby–and it certainly can be–but you can make beads out of junk mail. The insides of security envelopes cut into small triangles and rolled tightly, then sealed with glue, are really pretty. You could use other kinds of colorful paper, as well. Or plain old black and white print. You can even vary the size and shape of the bead with the same technique. Another thing you can do with your junk mail is to make paper. You’ll need a minimal amount of cash (a couple of bucks) to buy an embroidery hoop at a craft store. Tightly stretch an old piece of cloth (sheer curtain material is ideal–something kind of screenlike, not too tightly woven, not too absorbent) across the hoop and fasten the little screw on the side. Use your blender to make a slurry from paper and water. Pour the slurry on the stretched fabric, let it sit until the excess water has drained out, then gently press your wet paper with a towel or paper towel and carefully turn it upside down onto the towel so it can dry flat. Experiment with different kinds and colors of junk mail. Add flowers and leaves or swirl in some food coloring or watercolor paints if you want to spiff it up.
